Novel protest against helmet rule

HYDERABAD,
OCT. 3.
The Two Wheeler Riders Association held a novel protest against the compulsory helmet rule in the city.
Its members painted speed breakers on the road near the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad office here on Sunday.
The protesters charged the police and transport departments with rampant corruption and demanded action against those involved in such practices.
The other demand of the association was a curb on hoardings with indecent pictures.
In a statement, the association said the protest would be resumed on October 10.
