Racing : Motor
COIMBATORE, OCT. 4. Tata RC motor sport driver Narain Karthikeyan of India set the second fastest lap timing next only to race leader Heikki Kovalainen, but as luck would have it finished fourth in a well-contested second race at the Catalunya Circuit in Spain on Sunday. Narain was running a comfortable second but lost five valuable seconds on a long 11-second pit stop, which pushed him down the order. He was just 0.330secs off the French driver Tristan Gommendy, who just managed to pip him at the post for the third position.
In race two, Narain, who started fifth on the grid, finished in that position.
