dated October 6, 1954: New Marxist Party

The Revolutionary Socialist Party, the Peasants and Workers' Party and the Bolshevik Party have decided to merge together to form a single Marxist Party. This decision was a sequel to the discussions held in Poona on October 5 between Mr. N. Sreekantan Nair, M.P., General Secretary of the RSP, and Mr. Khadilkar, General Secretary of the PWP. Mr. Nair described the merger as a "new experiment."
