Letters to the Editor
Sir, So the Central Bureau of Investigation will rewind and play the Tehelka tapes, spend more of the people's money on years of investigations, and most probably, send the papers to the archives.
K. Vijayakumar,
* * * Sir, The UPA Government, blissfully oblivious to the burning issues confronting the nation, is indulging in witch-hunting. The UPA had no confidence in the CBI when the NDA was in power. But now it has unceremoniously disbanded the Justice Phukan Commission and handed over the Tehelka probe to the CBI. Is it not tantamount to subverting the judicial process?
H.P. Murali,
* * * Sir, The Government has decided to appoint a Group of Ministers to dig out all the scams of the NDA Ministers to silence the Opposition on the question of `tainted' Ministers. This will not end the menace of corruption in public life. Corruption, as always, is having the last laugh!
