Sir, The West Bengal Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's statement that his Government will not talk to the Naxalites till they lay down arms deserves praise. Contrast this with Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's Government in Andhra Pradesh that is showing no sign of firmness. As a result, the Naxalites in the State are hogging the limelight. TV channels and newspapers are vying with one another to let them waffle, full of rhetoric and bravado.
