SANGAREDDY, OCT.5. Principal of the DVR College of engineering and technology, V. Lakshmipathi, denied that he had any knowledge of his students diverting college buses to the Gandhi Hospital. Talking to The Hindu here today he said he did not ask the students to go to the Gandhi Hospital during the condolence meeting on the campus on Monday. He said the college was closed that day to cool down tempers. However, he said some students might have forced drivers and hijacked the buses to the hospital.
Disciplinary panel
The principal said the management had not yet identified the students who were involved in the incident, but would form a committee to do so. But he was non-committal on the issue of suspension of the students. To avoid further trouble, the management has decided to close the Sangareddy-based campus till the weekend.
