CHENNAI, OCT. 5. The sky will be partly cloudy on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded maximum temperatures of 33.7 and 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26.1 and 25.8. The humidity was 69 and 75.

Blood donation camp

Over 100 units of blood were collected at a blood donation camp organised by the Lions Club of Madras,Velachery, at Dhanish College of Engineering on Tuesday.

The camp was held in association with the Red Cross Society of the College.

The Indian Red Cross Society has conducted blood donation camp from October 1 to October 3 with the support of various institutions. Blood grouping camps were also held from October 2 to 4 in connection with Gandhi Jayanthi Day. Institutions interested in organising blood donation camps can contact telephone no: 28554425.

Science club inaugurated

The Raman Science Club of Swaami Vivekananda Matriculation school was inaugurated recently. S. Muthukumaran, Professor of Birla Institute of Technology, launched the club named after C.V. Raman.
