MANGALORE, OCT. 5. The Bangalore-based Ramky's Med Care company, which has established an incinerator in Karnad Industrial Estate at Mulky near here, has clarified that the exhaust of the incinerator would be safe and would not emit any odour. In a press release here on Tuesday, the company officials said the plant was limited to handle hospital waste from Dakshina Kannada district only. The exhaust of the plant would be frozen into liquid form to make it environment friendly. The plant would be operated for a limited time and not round-the-clock. The Karnataka Pollution Control Board would be monitoring the working of the plant regularly to ensure that there were no noxious gases were emitted or harmful substances flowed out unprocessed. The plant had been inspected by a panel of medical experts appointed by the Deputy Commissioner.
