UDUPI, OCT. 5. Four persons are in the fray in the byelections to the Kadiyali ward of Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) to be held on October 17. According to the Election Cell at the Tahsildar's office here on Tuesday, the nomination papers filed by the candidates were scrutinised on Tuesday. Srinivas Rao (independent) withdrew his nomination. The four candidates are U. Mohan Upadhyaya and Raghavendra Kini from the Bharatiya Janata Party, P. Raghavendra Acharya from the Congress, and Krishna Hebbar from the Janata Dal (Secular). October 7 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
