VIJAYAWADA, OCT. 5. The City Police Commissioner, Umesh Sharraf, gave away cash prizes to two policemen and a rickshaw-puller for their exemplary behaviour. Y. Durgamba, a resident of Chittinagar area, hired the cycle-rickshaw of Galla Babu to go the old Sivalayam street in the old city area on October 1. While alighting, the woman forgot in the rickshaw her bag which contained gold ornaments, a cell phone and Rs. 500 in cash, all valued at Rs. 40,000. The woman filed a complaint with the One Town police. The station's in charge head constable, K. Vijay Kumar, and police constable, Alluraiah, took her to Chittinagar and managed to reach Babu. They were informed that Babu himself had been trying to reach the owner of the bag.
