Weather

Gannavaram airport recorded a maximum temperature of 30.0 degrees Celsius and minimum of 23.0 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Humidity, which was recorded at 93 per cent in the morning fell to 88 per cent in the evening. Rainfall of 5.5 mm was recorded on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Commodity prices

Following were the prices (in rupees per kg) of essential commodities in the local wholesale market on Tuesday: Groundnut oil - 53, palmolein oil - 43 sunflower oil - 53, tamarind (flower variety) - 45 to 48, tamarind (karipuli variety) - 55 to 60, chillies (refrigerated) - 23 to 28, chillies - 14 to18, rice (2716) - 12, rice superfine (samba masoori) 13 to 14, rice sona masoori - 15 to 16, black gram (pottu minapappu) -22, red gram (kandipappu) - 28, red gram (Nagpur) 32.50.

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply for customers of the Southern Power Distribution Company in Gunadala section from 9 am to 12 noon on Wednesday. The affected areas are Bharathinagar, Ramachandranagar, Currency Nagar, S.N.Bank colony, S.N.Nagar Colony, Subbarao Colony and Mahanagar Road.

Bank's new product
