THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 5. The Students Federation of India (SFI) will organise get-together of students on the campuses on October 8 to create awareness on the increasing attacks on the secular culture of the State. The State president, P.K. Biju and the secretary, T.V. Rajesh, said in a statement here today that the focus of the get-togethers would be on the attack on nuns of the Missionaries of Charity at Olavanna in Kozhikode recently. The SFI would create awareness among students so that such incidents were not repeated, they said. The attack on nuns was a blot on the secular culture of the State. The sisters were rendering noble service to the residents of a Dalit colony who were living in pitiable conditions, they said.
