No power

COIMBATORE, OCT. 5. There will be no power supply in the following places on October 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. owing to shutdown of Marudur sub-station for maintenance work:

Tholampalayam, Velliyankadu, Seeliyur, Bujanganur, Dhayanur, Marudur, Pudhur, Karichipalayam, Kannarpalayam, Chenniveerampalayam, Karamadai, Thekkampatti and Vadavalli.

Competitions

The Department of Posts will conduct a painting competition for school students on October 12 at the Ramanagounder Poovathal Thirumana Mandapam, Kavundampalayam.

The theme could be any subject relating to post office. It would be conducted for students in Classes I to V (first category) and Classes VI to X (second category). For details, contact: Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Coimbatore Division, Coimbatore. Ph: (0422) 2305200, 2305300.

GETIT Infomediary Limited will conduct the GETIT on-the-spot painting competition for school students (aged between nine and 15 years) on October 9 at the St. Michael's Higher Secondary School.
