Three die in accidents

BANGALORE, OCT. 5. A second year pre-university student was killed in a collision between the motorcycle he was riding and a jeep on 100 Feet Ring Road in Madivala on Tuesday morning. The police gave the name of the victim as Madhu Shettty (17), who was on his way for tuition. The Madivala traffic police seized the jeep and arrested the driver.

A 55-year-old pedestrian died when he was knocked down by a lorry at Babusabpalya Ring Road junction in Banasawadi police station limits on Monday night. The body was shifted to Bowring Hospital for post-mortem. The identity of the victim, who was about five feet six inches tall and was dressed in a white shirt and white dhoti, has not been identified. The Ulsoor traffic police have arrested the lorry driver and seized his vehicle.

Shivakumar (25) of T. Dasarahalli, an electrician, died when a BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation) bus hit the scooter on which he was riding pillion near RMC Yard in Yeshwantpur police station limits on Monday. Pradeep (22), who was riding the scooter, suffered injuries and was admitted to Victoria Hospital.
