BANGALORE, OCT. 5. The Bangalore city police have made elaborate security arrangements for the first cricket Test match between India and Australia, which begins at the Chinnaswamy stadium on Wednesday. About 1,000 police personnel, including City Armed Reserve (CAR) and Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) constables, will be posted in and around the stadium. The police force will include 15 assistant commissioners of police, 36 inspectors, 51 sub-inspectors, 47 assistant sub-inspectors, 13 head constables and 287 constables. The city police have asked spectators to be at the stadium one hour before the start of the match and not carry crackers or other explosives.
