Bombs surrendered to police

ANANTAPUR, OCT. 6. A factional leader voluntarily handed over 50 country-made bombs stored by him illegally to the DSP of Penukonda, A.S.C. Wesley, on Wednesday. Details of the factional element, his name and place, were not announced.

The surrender of explosives was in response to the DSP's call to factional and anti-social elements made a few days ago. He had asked those having weapons and explosives illegally to surrender them to the police within a month.

On the surrender, no cases would be registered against them and secrecy would be maintained on their details.
