More buses sought for Tiruvallur

TIRUVALLUR,
OCT. 6.
The Tiruvallur Welfare Association has sought more bus services between the district headquarters and other important towns in the district.
The 31st annual report of the association, said though there were services connecting the district headquarters with several towns in the district, the number was inadequate.
The annual report, presented by the secretary, Amarchand, in the presence of the president, M. Venkatarangan, and the treasurer, S. Krishnamurthy, pointed out the need for proper road transportation and called for halting express trains operated by the Southern Railway at Tiruvallur in view of the increased volume of commuter traffic between Tiruvallur and Chennai.
It also regretted that a district court and district registrar office at Tiruvallur still remained a dream for the residents.
