KIT emerges overall champion

Karunya Institute of Technology (KIT), Coimbatore (Zone-7) emerged overall champion defeating Zone-10 picked-up team 4-3 via tie-breaker in the final of the Anna University inter-zone football tournament here on Thursday. At the end of the regulation time, the teams were locked goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Smile, Kamal, Jose Antony, Kingston scored for KIT. Vignesh, Judin and Vinodh Barnavas scored for Zone-10.
In the third place play-off JJ College of Engineering, Tiruchi (Zone-8) beat Zone-2 picked team 3-1. T. Vinodh (2) and Paul Nehamiah scored for JJ and Vijay Amarnath scored for Zone-2.
