NEW DELHI, OCT. 8. Sonali Sonavane scored seven goals as Kreeda Prabodhini School, Pune, defeated Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Chhattisgarh, 13-1 after leading 8-1 at the interval in the 11th NDMC Nehru junior girls hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Friday. Jyoti Chavan (2), Vincent Decosta (2), Laxman Sul and Ashwini Kadam were the other scorers for the winner. Anita Tirkey scored the only goal for the loser. In another match, Government Bhoj Girls Higher Secondary School, Dhar, defeated Government High School, Jammu, 11-0 after leading 5-0 at halftime. Reema Mourya (4), Kavita Sharma (3), Avantika Yadav (2), Vimla Nanoriya and Amita Gupta scored the goals. G. V. Raja Sports School, Thiruvananthapuram, beat Vidya Devi Jindal School, HIssar 5-3 after having trailed 1-2 at halftime. Karthika (2). Rajiv Krishna, Aswathy and M. C. Thomas scored for the Kerala team. Pushpa Mathur scored all the three goals for the loser. St. Ann's High School, Goa, beat N. N. Vadia High School, Nargol, 2-0. S. Pendekar and G. Clare Menezes found the target.
