New postings for 17 IPS officers

HYDERABAD, OCT. 8. The Additional DGP (coordination and police reforms), B.M. Ramalingeswara Rao, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director of A.P. State Police Housing Corporation Ltd. He was among the 17 IPS officers who were given new postings on Friday.

Cancelling his earlier appointment to the newly-created post of Warangal region Inspector-General of Police, Anurag Sharma (formerly IG of Greyhounds) was posted as IGP of the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA). On transfer, the IGP (recruitment), Ish Kumar, was posted as Warangal region IGP.

The APPA IGP, K. Vijender Reddy, was transferred and posted as Legal Metrology Controller replacing Aruna M. Bahuguna who was posted as IGP (coordination). The State Crime Records Bureau (Crime Investigation Department) Director, Rajwant Singh, and the IGP and security in-charge of A.P. Bhavan, New Delhi, Shree Ram Tiwari were transferred about.

On transfer, the Prohibition and Excise (Enforcement) Director, M. Punna Rao, was posted as APPA Joint Director. The Intelligence DIG, Ravi Gupta, and the Police Computer Services DIG, K.R.M. Kishore Kumar, were transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Hyderabad city police (Headquarters) and APPA Joint Director respectively.

Rajiv Trivedi, who returned from leave, was appointed as Greyhounds DIG.

Cancelling his earlier appointment as APPA Joint Director, A.V. Narayana was posted as Prohibition and Excise (Enforcement) Director. The Hyderabad South Zone DCP, Harish Kumar Gupta, was posted as Nalgonda SP replacing N. Balasubramanyam who was shifted to Greyhounds as Group Commander.

The Cyberabad DCP (Law and Order), Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, was appointed as South Zone DCP, Hyderabad.

New Ranga Reddy SP

Shikha Goel was shifted from the Crime Investigation Department and posted as Ranga Reddy SP replacing G. Surya Prakasha Rao, who was posted as Anti-Corruption Bureau Joint Director.
