HYDERABAD, OCT.8. Indian men and women won the team titles in the fourth World carrom championship being held in Colombo on Friday, according to information received here. In men's team final, India defeated Sri Lanka 2-1. India, which lost the first singles when Nishanth Fernando surprised Dilesh Khedekar 25-12, 25-0, fought back well through R.M. Shankara who beat Sri Lanka's No. 1 Chamil Cooray 25-7, 25-6. D. Kubendra Babu downed Viraj Fernando 25-16, 25-0. Indian women's team won all its four matches in the round-robin league to emerge champion.
