NEW DELHI, OCT. 8. Two young Cambodian nationals claiming themselves to be relatives of the Cambodian Ambassador to India were arrested on charges of beating up a chemist's shop owner over a trivial issue at Hauz Khas in South Delhi today. According to the police, it all happened around 8-30 p.m. when the Cambodian nationals, identified as Lam Hai (19) and Lam Sheik (20), had gone to buy liquor from the Hauz Khas market. They parked their vehicle in front of a chemist shop owned by Rajesh Verma. Rajesh objected to it and asked them to park the vehicle somewhere else, upon which they entered into an altercation with him and allegedly hit him on the head with a stick lying nearby. Hearing the commotion, other shopkeepers gathered there and overpowered the two Cambodian nationals. They also called in the police. During interrogation, the accused claimed that they were relatives of the Cambodian Ambassador to India and lived here at Panchsheel in South Delhi.
