Host Kozhikode beat Wayanad by 71 runs to enter the final of the North Zone (under-22) inter-district cricket championship at the Medical College Ground here on Saturday.
The scores:
Kozhikode 172 in 37.1 overs (M.S. Basith 59, Lineesh six for 37) bt Wayanad 101 in 25.1 overs (Fahad four for nine).
Kannur 242 for six in 40 overs (Krishandas 60, Thejas 46 not out, Vipin four for 34) bt Malappuram 186 in 36.1 overs (Ranjith 54, Shanavas for four for 63, Shaheer three for 35).
