Sania claims title
NEW DELHI,
OCT. 9.
The second-seeded Sania Mirza defeated the third seed Tiffany Dabek of the U.S. 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in the final to clinch the singles title in the $25,000 ITF women's tennis tournament in Lagos (Nigeria) on Saturday. It was the first crown at this level for Sania.
Sania also claimed the doubles title, partnering Shelley Stevens of New Zealand. The duo beat Chennelle Scheepers and Debeer of South Africa 6-1, 6-4.
