SN Vidyabhavan champions in CBSE youth festival

KOCHI, OCT. 9. SN Vidyabhavan, Chendrapinni, continued its unchallenged supremacy in arts as the school team became the overall champions in the CBSE State youth festival that concluded at the Al-Ameen Public School here today.

While SN Vidyabhavan scored 539 points, IES Public School, Chittilapilly, and NSS Higher Secondary School, Thripunithura, shared the second place with 460 points. Al-Ameen Public School stood next with 451 points.

Competitions were held in lower primary, upper primary, high school and higher secondary categories. Priyanka Shenoy from Toc-H Public School, Kochi, and Dinill Varghese from St. Mary's Public School, Kizhakkambalam, became `Kalathilakam' and `Kalaprathibha' respectively in the higher secondary category.

In the high school category, Atira Sankar from Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal, bagged the `Kalathilakam' title. However, the `Kalaprathibha' title was shared between SN Vidyabhavan's K. N. Harikrishnan and Arun Das.

In the upper primary category, Sita Roy from Vimalagiri Public School, Kothamangalam, bagged the `Kalathilakam' title and Jovin Chris Antony from Sacred Heart School, Edarikkode, the `Kalaprathibha' title.

In the primary section, Pooja Thasnath and Finoobin Lireesh from SN Vidyabhavan were adjudged `Kalathilakam' and `Kalaprathibha' respectively.

In the higher secondary section, SN Vidyabhavan got 164 points, followed by IES Public School (161) and Al-Ameen Public School (136).

In the high school category, SN Vidyabhavan got 177 points, followed by NSS Higher Secondary School (169) and Al-Ameen Public School (152).

In the upper primary section, SN Vidyabhavan gained 136 points, followed by NSS Higher Secondary School (121) and Nirmala Matha Senior Secondary School, Thrissur (110).

In the primary category, SN Vidyabhavan got 51, followed by Nava Nirman Public School, Kakkanad (45) and Nirmala Matha Senior Secondary School (44).

Kamala Rajendran (IES Public School) won the first prize in mono-act in the higher secondary category. The following are some of the winners in the category:

Essay writing: Harikrishnan M. (Nirmala Matha Public School).

Essay writing (Sanksrit): Anju Suresh (NSS Higher Secondary School).

Kuchipudi: Priyanka Shenoy (Toc-H Public School) and Neetha Unnikrishnan (SN Vidyabhavan).

Guitar: Gabriel Benny (Nava Nirman Public School).

Mimicry: Mohammed Sheyas (Al-Ameen Public School).

Mohiniyattom: Donna Simon (IES Public School) and Neetha Unnikrishnan (SN Vidyabhavan).

Light music: Dinil Varghese (St. Mary's Public School).

Bharatanatyam: Priyanka Shenoy (Toc-H Public School) and Shradha Balu (Al-Ameen Public School).

The following are some of the winners in the High School category:

Guitar: Nivin K. Job (Matha Senior Secondary School).

Thiruvathirakkali: Tinumol C. K. and party (Ilahiya Public School, Muvattupuzha).

Mappilapattu (boys): Nizar P. M. (Rajah Public School, Chavakkad).

Group dance: Lakshmi Priya and party (SN Vidyabhavan).

Light music (boys): Anas M. Saifuddin (Al-Ameen Public School).

Oppana: Shirin and party (Rajah Public School).

The following are some of the winners in the upper primary category:

Bharatanatyam: Parvarthy S. (St. Thomas Public School, Muvattupuzha).

Oppana: Syama Rasheed and party (Ilahiya Public School).

Thiruvathirakkali: Lakshmi V.R. and party (SN Vidyabhavan).

Mono-act: Reshma Mani (SN Vidyabhavan).

Mohiniyattom: Sita Roy (Vimalagiri Public School, Kothamangalam).

The following are some of the winners in the primary category:

Group song: Athira E.S. and party (IES Public School).

Light music: Finoobin Lireesh (SN Vidyabhavan).

Folk dance (girls): Pooja P. Thasnath (SN Vidyabhavan).

Folk dance (boys): Dheeraj P. (IES Public School).
