KOCHI, OCT. 10. The RSP(B) State secretary, A. V. Thamarakshan, is attempting to implement his personal agenda in the party and taking major political decisions unilaterally, said the party State secretariat member and Labour Minister, Babu Divakaran. Making a scathing attack on Prof. Thamarakshan at a workers' convention of the party here today, Mr. Divakaran said that he would not allow Prof. Thamarakshan to get away with his hidden agenda in the party as long he was the Minister. The attempts to convert the party into a `pocket organisation' would be resisted at any cost, he said. While reiterating his stand that he would not split the party, Mr. Divakaran said that he and his supporters would never go out of the party. "It is up to them (Thamarakshan and his supporters) to decide whether to continue in the party or quit. I will stand by the decision taken by the majority of the party workers. If Mr. Thamarakshan decides to expel me at the October 17 meeting, a decision will be taken after his announcing his stand", he told mediapersons. Incidentally, Prof. Thamarakshan has convened a two-day leadership meeting of the party at Thiruvananthapuram to discuss the organisational issues.
