Two top militants surrender

JAMMU, OCT. 10. Two top commanders of the Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Hizb-ul Mujahideen have surrendered before the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

An area commander of the Hizb, Abdul Gani alias Babber, surrendered in the Reasi area of Udhampur district last night, they said. He was operating in the Udhampur-Doda hills for the past 12 years, the sources said.

A local tehsil commander of the LeT, code named Abu Bilal, also surrendered before troops in Doda, with an AK rifle, two hand grenades, a radio set and some documents. He was operating in Doda for the past four years.
