HYDERABAD, OCT. 10. The Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said the Government was firm on laying the foundation stone for the Pulichintala project at the designated place, despite opposition from some political parties, including the People's War. Speaking to reporters on Sunday at the airport on his return from campaigning in Maharashtra, Dr. Reddy said certain people and parties might have difference of opinion, but the Government was clear about the location of the project. "The foundation stone will be laid at the place that has been decided." Asked to clarify reports about the shift in the Congress stand on Telangana from the second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) to consensus by all parties, Dr. Reddy made it clear that the Congress stood by the second SRC. But if all parties arrived at a consensus, there would be no problem in clinching the issue, he said. He made it clear that either the second SRC or consensus was the key to a separate State.
