Sagar water released

HYDERABAD: The Minister for Major Irrigation, Ponnala Laxmaiah, has said that water has been released from the Nagarjunasagar project to irrigate 3.64-lakh acres under its right and left canals falling under zone-2.

Mr. Laxmaiah said following good inflows into the Nagarjunasagar reservoir, water was being released to irrigate 3.64-lakh acres. He said in all 60 tmcft water was available to irrigate this area as against the 100 tmcft needed for the entire ayacut under left and right canals.
