KOCHI, OCT. 10. The district Health authority has recorded 92.8 per cent achievement in reaching the vaccine to the targeted group in the Pulse Polio programme held today. A follow-up programme will be held during the next two days to achieve cent per cent target, said the District Medical Officer in charge, K.T. Remani. Earlier, the Pulse Polio Campaign - 2004 in the district was inaugurated by the Fisheries and Sports Minister, Dominic Presentation, at the Ernakulam General Hospital this morning. The district panchayat president, K.B. Muhammedkutti, Ludy Louis, MLA, the General Hospital superintendent, Omana Unnikrishnan, the councillor, Saraswati Menon, and the district medical officer were present. There were 1,016 booths functioning all over the district, with more than 2,200 mobile booths and transit booths at railway stations and bus stands, according to the District Medical Officer.
