Commits suicide

TIRUNELVELI, OCT. 12. A second year student of an engineering college at Mela Thidiyoor allegedly committed suicide, hanging himself from a tree today.

The police said D. Ilaiyaraja (19), son of a labourer of Meenavankulam, took the extreme step as he could not pay the fees. He had not been attending classes for the past one month. He hanged himself from a tree near the Kombumadasamy Temple at Singikulam under the Kalakkad police station limits.
