Airtel gets best brand award
NEW DELHI: The Bharti group's Airtel has been adjudged the "World Communications Best Brand of the Year". The award is a part of the World Communications Awards 2004 that recognises outstanding performance by companies and brands from across the world in the telecommunications industry. Airtel bagged the award amid stiff competition from leading international players such as Orange, British Telecom, Starhub and M1. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Group Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises, received the award at a function in London.
