NEW DELHI, OCT. 12. As directed by a Delhi court, the Army Research and Referral Hospital today furnished the files required by the New Delhi police in connection with the alleged illegal kidney transplant cases. The police hope to get substantial evidence from the files confirming that the illegal kidney transplants had really taken place in the hospital. Following an application moved by the New Delhi police, the court had earlier asked the Army Research and Referral Hospital to hand over the files required by them by October 12. According to the police, the court today directed the hospital management to also hand over other related files to the investigating officer of the case for forensic and other tests, as and when asked by him. The hospital had earlier allegedly refused to furnish the case files saying they required them for the court of inquiry they had set up for a parallel probe over the alleged involvement of the hospital staff in the nexus. The police had identified three staffers of the hospital for having links with the prime accused in the first case, Manoj Bihari. Three of his accomplices have already been arrested.
