This Day That Age
Preparations for the construction of Congress Nagar at Avadi, near Madras, have practically commenced now, with a number of labourers engaged in levelling and preparing the site of the pandal and other adjuncts of the Congress session. Roads leading to Avadi from several directions will also be undergoing improvement very soon. The Government have sanctioned necessary amounts for their repair and these works are expected to be completed well in time for the commencement of the session. Mr. Kamaraj, Chief Minister, accompanied by TNCC office-bearers visited Avadi on October 13 and inspected the work being done.
