THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 13. The Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association has congratulated the Mayor, J. Chandra, and the councillors for openly coming out against corrupt Corporation officials at the council meeting on Tuesday. The association district president, P.P. Purushothaman, said in a statement here today that corrupt officials were helping unauthorised fast food joints and wayside eateries and depriving the Corporation of the revenue due to it. The treatment meted out to the public was far from satisfactory and the attempt made by the Mayor and councillors to end such practices was laudable, he said.
