THRISSUR, OCT. 13. The former president of the Vadanappally grama panchayat, I.V. Ramanathan, died of a heart attack in Ootacamund last night. He was 65. Ramanathan had visited Ootacamund for business, family sources said. He was the president of the Vadanapally panchayat for 28 years. He had also served as president of the Nattika Rural Bank and Nattika Taxi Drivers' Association. He is survived by his wife and three children.
