Excess bus fare waived

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 13. The Cabinet today decided to waive the 20 per cent excess fare charged by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) in buses to Sabarimala.

The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, said that it had been a long-standing demand of the Hindu organisations that the excess fare, charged during the festival season at Sabarimala, should be dropped.
