KOTTAYAM, OCT. 13. The First Class Judicial Magistrate Court III here has remanded Latha Nair, an accused in the Kiliroor sex scandal, to police custody till October 20. Her co-accused Manoj, who was nabbed by the police from Muvattupuzha on Tuesday, also has been remanded to police custody. He will be with the police till October 18. Ms. Nair, the fifth accused, surrendered to the First Class Judicial Court at Adimali in Idukki district on Tuesday and was remanded to judicial custody then. She was kept at the sub-jail in Deviculam on Tuesday night. The special investigation team under Abraham Mathew, Dy.SP, brought her to Kottayam by 5 p.m. today. She would be kept at the Kottayam (East) police station over night before being taken for questioning, the special investigating officer said.
