PONDICHERRY, OCT. 13. The Pondicherry Government owned Transport and Tourism Development Corporation has drawn up programmes to hold a music festival (freedom jam) to highlight the golden jubilee of Pondicherry Merger (De Facto) on October 23. The Education and Tourism Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, said in a release today that while western clasical music would be held at the Mairie Hall on Beach Road, the `Le Café' restaurant would be the venue for the Children's music. Rock music would be held at the Indo-French Vocational Training Centre near the old port and the Indian classical music would be held in the Alliance Francaise. Musicians from Pondicherry and also other places including Bangalore would present recitals.
