MYSORE, OCT. 13 . Hundreds of delegates, including representatives of travel and trade offices in Europe, the U.S. and Southeast Asia, are expected to participate in the two-day "Travel Mart 2004" here beginning on Thursday. The exhibition, organised by the Mysore zone of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), will showcase the myriad leisure and tourist options in and around Mysore. The Union Minister of State for Tourism, Renuka Choudhury, will inaugurate the event at the Yashaswi Convention Centre at 10 a.m. While the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, will be the guest of honour, the former Member of Parliament and scion of the Mysore royal family, Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, will deliver the keynote address at the programme. Mysore Travel Mart 2004, will features conferences, an exhibition, a meeting of Chief Executive Officers (CEO), best guided tours to places of interest in and around Mysore and presentations on Indian and international tourist destinations. The objective of the programme is to showcase the multifaceted leisure and tourist options including wildlife and heritage spots in Mysore. Some of the major Indian and international tourism related organisations have confirmed their participation in the Mysore Travel Mart, the Mysore zone of the CII informed.
