`Arrest murderers'

BANGALORE,
OCT. 13.
The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has condemned the murder of the Congress leader and municipal councillor, B.T. Girijashankar, and his friend, Jayaprakash, at Dyapalapura on Monday night.
In a press statement here on Wednesday, the KPCC president, B. Janardhana Poojary, demanded immediate arrest of the persons connected with the murder and sought police protection for the people in the hobli. He expressed grief over the incident and appealed to the people to maintain peace in the village.
Mr. Poojary announced a compensation of Rs. 1.5 lakhs each to the families of Girijashankar and Jayaprakash.
