THANJAVUR, OCT. 13 . National Cadet Corps of Umamaheswara Higher Secondary School here went on a cycle expedition to Thenperambur to create an awareness among villagers of the evils of chewing tobacco. They villagers and explained that use of tobacco would lead to cancer. They carried placards and shouted slogans against use of tobacco. Led by D. D. Jayachandran, NCC Officer, the expedition was flagged off by T. Sachidanandam, headmaster of the school.
