Son's death in dalam shatters couple

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, OCT.13. Desperate attempts by a couple from Koratikallu village in Nalgonda district to know the fate of their only son who had joined the People's War five years ago were shattered on Wednesday when they were informed them about his tragic death.

Addanki Narahari and his wife, Chandramma, came to the Manjeera guest house where the People's War secretary, Ramakrishna, and others are staying, to enquire about their missing son, Swamy, who had joined the PW in 1999. A PGA guard met them and gathered details of their son. He promised to get back to them.

Shocking news

The leaders, after due enquiries, came back to the couple waiting anxiously for a word about the well being of their son. After a little hesitation, the PGA guards broke the news about Swamy's death in tragic circumstances.

Swamy had died when he accidentally came in contact with electrified fencing in a field. The body was cremated by the dalam as it could not be shifted to his native village. The leaders maintained that they had passed on the information about his death.

Crying inconsolably, Narahari and Chandramma said they were not informed about the death.

DJS leader meets RK

The Darsgah Jihad-o-Shahadat leader, Mahaboob Ali, and the Tahreek Tahfoos Shariat-e-Islam convenor, Maulana Naseeruddin, who was recently arrested by the police for his alleged links with the terrorist outfit, Lashkar-e-Taiba, met Ramakrishna. They hoped that the peace talks would be fruitful.

A Bahujan Samaj Party delegation tried to meet the PW leadership but in vain. They submitted a memorandum to a PGA guard. Chandrakant of the Society for Cancer in Oral-Cavity Prevention Through Education (SCOPE) met RK along with an oral cancer patient, Miskeen Ahmed, and sought the PW's intervention to demand ban on sale of gutkha.
