G.V. Raja in semifinals

KURIANAD, OCT. 13. G.V. Raja Sports School, Thiruvananthapuram, moved into the semifinals in the boys' section of the sixth St. Anne's Trophy all-Kerala inter-school basketball tournament at the St. Anne's HSS stadium here on Wednesday.

In the quarterfinals, G.V. Raja outplayed KEHSS, Mannanam 44-31. St. Ephrem's (Mannanam), St. Joseph HSS (Pulikunnu), Govt. Model HSS (Kozhikode) also made the last four stage.

In girl's section, St. Theresa's, Vazhapally and Govt. Brennen HSS, Thalassery moved into the semifinals.

Vineeth 17); St. Ephrem's, Mannanam 49 (Nirmal 14, Albin Baby 12) bt MTHS, Kurianoor 40; St. Joseph's HSS, Pulinkunnu 47 (Kevin 10) bt St. Anne's HSS, Kurianad 40 (Francis 20); Govt. Model HSS, Kozhikode 74 (Bony 24, Vijobi 20, Vimal 12) bt Girideepam, Kottayam 50 (Rony 22, Jomy 11).

Girls: St. Theresa's, Vazhapally 53 (Lizy Mathew 21, Anu Jose 10) bt PCGHSS, Velikulangara 35 (Sibi 14, Greesha 12); Govt. Brennan HSS, Thalassery 46 (Anu Mathew 16) bt GHSS, Villadam 30 (Shinu 12).
