Armaan overcomes Aditya Akineni

BANGALORE, OCT 13. Armaan Ebrahim overcame Aditya Akineni's challenge to win the Rotax Max Challenge Series (junior section) at the Speed Zone track here recently.

Aditya made desperate attempts to overtake Armaan, especially on the straight in front of the grandstand. However, Armaan defended his line well and nosed out in front at the fall of the chequered flag.

In the cadet class, Parth Ghorpade and Karan Goenka fought hard for the top honours. Parth had a marginal lead right from the first lap and he never allowed Karan to overtake him to clinch the title.

Pune's Rayomand Banajee emerged winner in the senior section.

The results: Junior section (13 -15 years): 1. Armaan Ebrahim (11.46.699), 2. Aditya Akineni (11.48.765), 3. Saahil Shelar (11.54.978). Cadet: 1. Parth Ghorpade (8.48.124), 2. Karan Goenka (8.48.290), 3. Shahshank Shankar (8.59.664). Senior: 1. Rayomand Banajee (16.00.402), 2. Deepak Chinappa (16.11.084), 3. Fazal Khan (16.15.461). — Our Special Correspondent
