Kramnik-Leko tie drawn

BRISSAGO (SWITZERLAND), OCT. 13. The 11th game between Vladimir Kramnik of Russia and Peter Leko of Hungary in the Dannemann World classical chess championship ended in a draw here on Tuesday. The Queen's Indian Defence game lasted just 17 moves.

The defending champion Kramnik, who had black today, doesn't have much time to waste now; he's trailing 5-6, with just three games remaining. He needs to score seven points to retain the crown, while Leko will be the champion if he could avoid defeat in those last three games.
