St. Mary's School posts win
NEW DELHI,
OCT 13.
St. Mary's School, Sundergarh defeated Karamat Hussain Muslim Inter College, Lucknow 2-1 in a Pool IV match of the NDMC-Nehru Junior Girls Hockey Tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Wednesday.
Prasanta Ekka and Anima Kujur scored for the Sundergarh team while Pushpa Rawat reduced the margin for the losing side.
In a Pool III match, Birsa Munda Vidyapeeth, Rourkela defeated Sri Lanka Schools 6-1. the scorers for Birsa Munda were Roselin Dung Dung (3), Sankuri Barua, Susmita Kujur and Sarita Bara while C. Wijesooriya scored for the Sri Lankan outfit.
In Pool II, Govt Girls High School, Ranchi drew goalless with Govt Girls School, Amritsar.
St. Mary's (Sundergarh), Govt School (Ranchi), Birsa Munda (Rourkela) and Govt School (Amritsar) made it to the quarterfinals.
