No power

COIMBATORE, OCT.13. Power supply will not be available in the following areas, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on October 14, owing to a shutdown for maintenance works at the Perumanallur sub-station.

Perumanallur, Kanakkampalayam, Kalipalayam, Puthupalayam, Sadayampathi, Pooluvapatty, Pandian Nagar, M. Thottipalayam, Merkupathy, Valasupalayam, Kandampalayam, Ayyampalayam, Andipalayam, Neruperichal, Chettipalayam, Vavipalayam and Thoravalur.

Supply will be suspended between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the following areas on October 15.

Kalapatti, Valiampalayam, Sharp Puram, Cheran Maanagar, Saravanapatty, Vilankurichi, Velandipalayam, Ammankoil, Chinnavedampatti, Ramakrishnapuram, Sivanandapuram, Akkammal Steel Company, Vellakinar, Urumandampalayam, Somayampalayam, TVS Nagar, Gounder Mill (MTP Road), Subramaniampalayam, Kanuvai, KNG Pudur, Kavundampalayam, Maniyakarampalayam, Nallampalayam, Lakshmi Nagar, Rathinapuri, Nachimuthu Nagar, Jayaprakash Nagar, Ganapathi Nagar, Kannappa Nagar and Ganesh Nagar.

Upanyasam

Vanaprastha has organised a discourse on Srimad Bhagavatham and Narayaneeyam from October 15 to 21 as part of Navarathri celebrations.

Navarathri

Kovai Sri Sankara Trust will conduct Navarathri celebrations from October 15 to 23. Besides pujas and homams, music programmes have also been organised. Saxophone recital by Puthur Ganesan and vocal recital by Sikkal Gurusaran, Sudha Raghunathan, Vijay Siva, T.M. Krishna, Santhana Gopalan, Gayathri Girish, Gayathri Venkataraghavan and Maharajapuram Srinivasan.
