No change in temperature

A generally cloudy sky is forecast for Thursday and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32 degree Celius and 21degree Celsius respectively. On Wednesday the maximum temperature was 32 degree Celsius, minimum temperature 21.6 degree Celsius and relative humidity 51 per cent.

Textbooks for SSC-failed

Candidates who have failed in SSC public examination prior to March 2004 have been asked to follow the changed textbooks in Tamil first language paper-I (01A) and second language Special English (11F) for March 2005 examination, according to an official press release here.

Medwin offer on eye surgeries

National exam in astronomy

The Amateur Astronomers, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the National Council of Science Museum (NCSM) and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) will conduct the National Standard Examination in astronomy on December 12.

The examination helps students to take a shot for the International Astronomy Olympiad 2005. The examination will be conducted at Sujatha High School, Chapel Road, Abids. Details can be had from the association coordinator, Y. Ravi, Kiron over phone no. 27676557.

Navaratra mahotsav

Four-day Ashwin (Shardeeya) Navaratra Mahotsav will be held at Sri Tulja Bhavani temple, Kuverjiguda, Karwan, from Thursday. Abhjisheka, alankar, paath and aarathi will be held from 6 a.m and sahasranaamarchana at 7 p.m. Devotees can give details of names, `gotra' and `nakshatra' with puja articles a day before, organisers have said.
