MADURAI, OCT.13. The Madurai District unit of the Human Rights Protection Centre — Tamil Nadu was inaugurated here on Sunday. The inaugural function was marked by a discussion, demanding the repeal of the POTA with retrospective effect and to release all prisoners detained under the act. The unit was also felicitated by K. Vellaichamy, president, Madurai Bar Association, K. Mahendran, legal wing secretary, Dravidar Kazhagam, along with other dignitaries.
